Le Mouy Vieux is a traditional Auvergne farmhouse commanding stunning views over-looking beautiful wooded valleys and Puys on far horizons. Situated in a small hamlet its name is believed to mean “The Old Cry” though the true meaning has likely been lost in the mists of time.

Believed to have been around since the late 1600’s the main house was renovated from a derelict shell in the 1970’s and became a Chambre d’hôte in the 1980’s.
In 2005 Lynne Barlow-Gerrard bought Le Mouy Vieux and immediately stamped her own unique style, admired and enjoyed by guests from as far afield as New Zealand and USA.

We had the best holiday for years! Superbly looked after by someone who's become a real friend and be tempted by her evening meals....
Lots to do - visits or pottering, and the joy of real country silence to start and finish the day.

We had a very pleasant stay here, next to our friends. The accommodation is very tasteful. We enjoyed it very much and hope to spend here some more time another year.
